Help child to develop




With information on the click of a button, where there are filters but no awareness available, the role of a teacher has undergone a phenomenal change. They are not just the ones who are to focus an academic inputs but have to grow as a strong support system to hold the child firmly and help him grow morally. The inappropriate content which is not age specific is bringing with it a sea of responsibility With educators, but are we ready for it?
Probably this IT smart generation needs a lot more from the teachers as compared to yester years with every generation having its own cognitive interests and skills and the gap ever widening as of now.
The pre-service curriculum as what they are equipping our educators with are just few skills which are either getting outdated or are out of place. With the students becoming smart, the educators need to be smarter. The focus on interpersonal and intrapersonal skills are the need of the hour . The teachers as facilitators are to help the child identify his or her modalities of learning and support  him to develop his or her core competencies.
We will have to focus on the teacher programs which caters to equipping teachers with life skills that helps them deal children who are smart as well as parents who are growing difficult.
Pre-service teacher programs should be inclusive of not just subject specific activities or teaching aids but:
Help develop the
Physical self of child
Emotional self of child
Cultural self of child
Spiritual self of child
Social self of child
Intellectual self of child
Creative self of child
Existential self of child
The curriculum has to be reframed keeping in mind the above factors in mind and equip the teachers with tools and techniques that support the above processes and make education of a child, the most beautiful journey of his life.
