Writing Skills for improvisation in students

Annapoorni Balan, Principal, IUEF SECRETARY GENERAL for Pooma Educational Trust Writing is a complex skill which most students actually need in order to successfully go through,in school. When the students are in kindergarten they should be taught to write on their own accord. They should practiced with sand, and teach them to draw standing lines, sleeping line, slanting lines, curves, these all will have the students to get a grip on their writing tool. And their hands too will get set on their writing skills and form a habit to have a good handwriting. Because everything is based on writing during academic years, a student who possesses good writing skills will automatically do better at everything. Exams, essays, assignments, and so on. As a teacher, your role is to help each and every student improve themselves, acquire new skills, and become a better individual by the end of their time spent in college. What most teachers don’t actually realize is that they should be carry...

Modern kids

These are the children of Today ! Are today's Parents and Teachers geared up to handle them... Schools which don't change and become digitally savvy are in for big trouble in near future and will eventually lose all chance of building any relations with individuals ... Digitalisation in schools also brings with it capacity of providing individual attention and that is a Game Winner for schools ... ! But please know what you are required to digitise - 1) Always digitise things/processes that cannot be done manually or are tedious to do manually 2) Always digitise processes which can give better efficiency/productivity through use of technology 3) Always digitise if you can save on wastage of resources 4) You may digitise if you are innovating 5) Digitisation does not mean that you shift from regular language to SMS shortforms of words... 6) Digitisation means that it should improve efficiency of teachers and reduce Thier workload ... Not replace them.. 7) Digitisation...

Teachers

Kiran, Arun Kumar sutaria, Now a days teachers are not allowed to say or write anything negative... A few interesting letters from teachers to get around this....... I loved every one of them. Dear Parent, We are delighted to inform you that your child displays remarkable initiative. Not for him the simple-minded obedience to teachers. We refer to his admirable refusal to do homework. We have, however, humbly requested him to stoop to our level and condescend to do his homework. Your support is appreciated. Yours anxiously, Teacher Dear Parent, Your child's distaste for mundane subjects such as mathematics shows an imaginative mind. Why, he wonders, does the square of the hypotenuse have to be equal to the square of the other two sides in a right-angled triangle? It is no wonder that he has scored a splendid zero in his math exam. Unfortunately, even brilliant students have to pass exams. Could you gently break that news to him? Yours entreatingly, Teacher. Dear Parent, ...

Teacher Assessments and Appointments

AZRA SULTANA, IUEf Educator for POOMA EDUCATIONAL TRUST I believe in my Govt has set one common test to assess teachers for its appointments called as Teacher Eligibility Test TET. The same should be carried out in in private schools appointment too. But how far it goes successful, remain in the hands of school makers, leaders and owners to implement to make the school dependents as student's future bright If eligibility is enough for selection what about character certificate. Rule made by Govt for its schools to follow is applicable  to private schools also. Only trained candidate with diploma of child development or equivalent with teaching line degree should only be entertained in school. Say no untrained graduates. Govt should make a rule for making few years contract with the appointees atleast for 2 years. Principals should abide by the rule so strictly. Then only character of today's teachers can be decided...its a worse condition of present schools every term new fa...
