Before enrolling in any of the foreign language course, the student must ask himself; does the prospect of being multi lingual appeal him? Does the idea of fluency in foreign languages entice him? In case, the answer is in yes, well, then, here's some good news for the likes of him/her.
It has become a highly paying profession over the last few years. The prospects are really bright for the people fluent in foreign languages. With a large number of foreign companies having established themselves in India and other Asian countries quite successfully, the demand for multi lingual professionals is rapidly and continually increasing.
What are the prospects after learning a particular foreign language? Anyone may ask. Well, to begin with, many. The University offers a Bachelor's degree in languages. Consequently, one can go on to a Master's or a Ph.D in the same language. The institute has language laboratories to hone the spoken skills.
The course is quite exhaustive, covering oratorial, written and reading skills alongside a history of the language.
Courses in foreign languages are also offered at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi and Central Institute of Foreign Languages, Hyderabad, India. University of Delhi also offers part time courses in foreign languages.
Translators and interpreters earn a lot and are always in demand. One could make a fortune by being a tour guide wherein he takes batches of foreign tourists to exotic locales, both inside and outside India. A course in Mountaineering or Adventure Sports is advisable if one chooses to opt for this job.
One could join foreign airlines or hotels also.
Amongst all foreign languages, Japanese is considered to be the highest paying and perhaps the most difficult language of all.
French is essential for people who want to work in foreign MNCs.
Since German technology has become an indispensable part of Indian industry, German holds a lot of scope.
So, anyone who has a penchant for the languages, pick any foreign language that catches his/her fancy, master it, shrink the globe and soon he/she could be climbing the ladder of success in his/ her very work field!
